Sunset Beach
Cape May, New Jersey

What you see in the distance past the jetty is the remaining hull of a sunken ship. The ship was made of concrete, an experiment during World War 1 when steel was rare, and actually worked (just very very slowly). One night a storm blew the ship in toward land and it was beached. Local museums have kept track of its decay over the years- the pictures are pretty interesting to see.

No one really goes in the water here and the 'sand' cuts your feet, but Jonny and I climbed out across the jetty to sit on the end and take pictures, "eew" at dead fish, and talk.
